STEP 5

Once the editor has decided the fate for the manuscript, they simply select the manuscript from their Inbox, select the appropriate disposition, add some comments if necessary, and click a button.

If the document was rejected, an e-mail message will be sent to the author and journal office notifiying them of the decision.

If the document was accepted, e-mail messages will be sent to the author, journal office, and printer.  The author will also be sent a "Copyright Transfer Notice" along with the e-mail. 

When the Printer receives the message, they can log into the JournalSubmit.com site to view and download the document. After the manuscript has been scheduled to be printed in the journal, this information will be updated which will change its status to "Published" and automatically send an e-mail notice to the author.
